LINKS TO RADIO STATINS IN CYPRUS


The First Channel transmits on a 24-hour basis featuring news, current affairs, education and cultural programmes. It airs programmes for children and young adults, history and tradition and programmes of classical, modern and traditional music. 

This channel transmits programmes in various languages on a 24-hour basis: in Turkish for the Turkish Cypriots (06.00-17.00),in Armenian for the Armenians (17.00-18.00) and English for foreign visitors and permanent non-Greek-speaking residents (18.00-24.00).

The Third Radio Channel acts mainly as an entertainment and information channel for listeners in Cyprus and for Greek immigrants in Germany, the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe via satellite and the Internet. 

Radio Love airs music, featuring an adult-contemporary format. It is similar to BBC Radio 1. 

Cyprus Radio is a coast radio station on Cyprus. On SSB channels, it identifies itself with the words "This is Cyprus Radio - radiotelephone maritime service". 

Radio Astra is a privately owned radio station in Cyprus with island-wide coverage. It was launched by a company called Radiostage on the 7thof December 1994. 

Logos Radio is the mouthpiece of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus. It was initially launched as a television and radio (1992) station, however the TV broadcasting rights were later sold to Mega Channel. It transmits on 101.1 and 101.6 FM.
Radio Proto is a privately owned radio station in Cyprus. It was launched in 1990 in the capital Nicosia, but now has island-wide coverage. It belongs to the DIAS Group.
