LINKS TO AUSTRALIA RADIO STATIONS

Radio 2ME is the only high power 24-hour Arabic language commercial radio station to broadcast free-to-air to throughout Australia including the two major capitals of Sydney and Melbourne on 1638KHz AM. 
  

On the 1st November 2006 in Darwin, Northern Territory’s Chief Minister, Clare Martin officially launched Yolngu Radio, a new Indigenous radio service broadcasting in Arnhem Land. Following a traditional ceremony performed by a Yolngu clan from north-east Arnhem Land, and words from Yolngu Radio listeners, the Chief Minister launched the ground-breaking service saying; “Yolngu Radio is the first Indigenous radio service in the country to provide coverage to a wholeculture and language group.”

Australian Tamil Broadcasting Corporation (ATBC) celebrated five years of service to the community with large gatherings in three major capital cities of Australia. Hundreds of it’s listeners, supporters and well wishers attended the events in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
